Welcome back to all of our Barley Bears and to our returning Barley Teachers and Staff! We missed you! 

Whether you have an incoming Kindergartener, a child just entering Barley Sheaf in grades 1-4, or you have a preschooler starting at Barley Sheaf this year: Welcome! We are also excited to welcome our new Barley Staff Teachers this year! We are so excited that you are all here! 

Join us for the first PTO meeting of the year on Wed., September 11th at 7:00 pm in the school library. ALL are welcome! There is no obligation to volunteer or become a committee member when you attend a meeting.

That being said, we are always looking for more support, whether you'd like to chair a committee, volunteer for an event in person, or even just volunteer from home in planning/prepping for an event! 

Kick off the school year with a sweet treat! Stop by Rita's Italian Ice (23 State Route 12, Flemington) on September 11th between noon and 9 pm! A portion of each purchase will be donated back to the Barley Sheaf PTO.

Want your child's First Day of School photo to be included in the yearbook? The Yearbook Committee would love to include some First Day of School photos in the '24 - '25 yearbook! You can email your child's photo to yearbookbarleysheaf@gmail.com. 

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! The Barley Sheaf Parent Teacher Organization is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable group who works to raise funds, plan events, and generally support our teachers, staff members, children, and families. We hope that you will join us as a member and consider volunteering for an event and/or a committee. We are looking forward to a great year! 

You can join the PTO or renew your membership here! Joining the PTO will ensure that you receive Barley Sheaf PTO emails (all ones after this will be sent electronically) and will give you access to the Membership Toolkit school directory. There is no obligation to volunteer or join a committee by signing up for the Membership Toolkit! It will ensure that you are kept in the loop about all PTO-organized events throughout the year! This will also help to fund multiple PTO-sponsored activities and purchases that benefit our Barley Students and Staff!

Some examples of activities, events, and gifts that the PTO sponsors are: New playground equipment, Staff Appreciation events and gifts, school assemblies, Activity Nights (Ice Cream Social, Parents' Night Out, Family Event Mornings/Nights, Scholastic Book Fair, Camp Mason for 4th Graders, and more)!

Make your Barley Sheaf child's birthday extra special by wishing him or her a Happy Birthday on the electronic sign in front of the building! Please send an email to Jodi Carmon at jodi.carmon@frsd.usat least one week before the date and include your child's name, birthdate, grade and teacher. A Happy Birthday message with your child's first name will appear on the sign on their special day. The cost is $10. The $10 cash or check donation can be sent to Barley Sheaf either in your child's folder or via US mail. Checks should be made out to Barley Sheaf PTO. This donation will support the "Helping Hands Fund", which is a fund that directly helps Barley Sheaf students/families in need.
